ORAC Membership

View PowerPoint slide show:

All interns, residents and fellows in good standing at any AOA approved program in the CORE that have obtained a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree are eligible to be selected as representatives.  Two official representatives from each CORE base hospital are appointed at the discretion of that hospital’s Director of Medical Education (DME) and have voting privileges.  Each base hospital may have more than two representatives attend meetings, but only two representatives may vote.

If you are interested in serving as a representative for your hospital, please contact your DME.  Osteopathic medical students are not eligible to serve as official representatives but they are welcome to attend meetings.

ORAC also offers several leadership opportunities, from serving on the executive board to acting as an ambassador or a special delegate.  The executive board consists of elected positions that serve an integral role in running meetings and developing and implementing ORAC’s goals.  In addition, the executive board works in conjunction with the CASC and OOA to further osteopathic graduate medical education.  Ambassadors are appointed positions to committees outside of ORAC, such as the CASC, and special delegates, also appointed positions, represent ORAC at national conferences or events, such as the Council of Interns and Residents at the AOA annual convention.

If you are interested in serving on the executive board or acting as an ambassador or special delegate, please email ORAC for information.
