Summa Western Reserve Hospital is the region's first physician-owned, for-profit, full service hospital. The hospital commenced operations June 24, 2009 when Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital transitioned to Summa Western Reserve Hospital; a majority physician owned joint venture between Western Reserve Hospital Partners and Summa Health System. Western Reserve Hospital Partners represents a collaboration of more than 200 local physicians including primary care physicians, surgeons and specialists. Although a for-profit facility, the hospital operates in a manner consistent with the Summa Health System mission of providing care to all people regardless of their ability to pay. The leadership is dedicated to empowering physicians to change health care delivery. They are committed to improving quality of care and patient satisfaction through physician collaboration and improved communication among physicians.

Cuyahoga Falls is a charming community that derives its name from the Cuyahoga River, which winds its way through the downtown area. Located adjacent to Akron and only a short drive from Cleveland, Cuyahoga Falls offers cultural, recreational, and residential diversity. Schools are good. Cuyahoga Falls has numerous parks which have free wading pools, sports fields and play grounds. There are a plethora of Metro parks in the surrounding area with hiking and biking trails, including winter sports such as skiing and tubing. The Zoos are associated with the Metro parks too. Weekends throughout the year have something going on at the Cuyahoga Falls River Front, from Santa Claus and ice skating in the winter to festivals, concerts and car shows during the summer and fall. Located five minutes from major expressway; and 30 minutes from Akron Canton Airport or Cleveland Metropolitan Airport.
